Training in Sport Business professions and integrating a sector that fascinates them, this is the desire of the students of AMOS Sport Business School. During their Bachelor (Bac+3) or Masters (Bac+5) training, these future professionals are required to participate in or organize a whole range of events related to their training. Student challenges, sports cohesion days or recruitment forums, here is a summary of the experience at AMOS.
Sports cohesion days
Often organized at the start of the school year and at the end of the year, sports cohesion days are events that are highly appreciated by students. Competitors by nature, the AMOSciens meet around a sports practice in an atmosphere combining competition and good humor. These activities often go hand in hand with the integration days or evenings organized by the BDEs, and allow students to meet in a unifying context, but also to share a different moment with the campus teams and the speakers.
Les MasterClass
Throughout the year, AMOSciens are encouraged to interact with Sport Business professionals. The courses are given by experts in activity, allowing a constant link with the problems of the sector. MasterClasses are an integral part of the training programs. These conferences invite students to meet professionals leading a conference on a Sport Business theme. The opportunity also to visit emblematic places of Sport and to work on a topical issue.
These moments of exchange also allow students to immerse themselves in the reality of clubs, federations and sports companies, and in particular that of our partners, who are often acclaimed for these exchanges. This is for example the case of AMOS Lyon with its Masterclass at Groupama Stadium.
FAMES
The AMOS Careers and Employment Forums in Sport are organized twice a year, on all AMOS campuses. The concept is simple, recruiters are invited to participate in recruitment sessions with students during their studies. Some companies offer exclusive offers to AMOSciens, others come looking for a profile specializing in Sport Business for an internship or work-study program.
Scheduled at key dates, these sessions allow students to find a company related to their professional project, in order to validate the periods of professionalization required for graduation. For example, first-year Bachelor Marketing and Sports Events students take advantage of October’s FAMES to meet recruiters for their first sales internship to be carried out in December. They thus have the opportunity to discuss, for example, with store managers from New Balance, Adidas, Decathlon, etc.
During the April edition, future students of the Master of Business in Sport can find their work-study program among the companies invited to FAMES in order to start a year of training financed by their company with peace of mind.
WE LOVE Hackathon
Once a year, the campuses compete in the biggest 100% Sport Business student challenge. More than 1500 students are put to the test to produce an express production in 24 hours flat. Gathered within their campus in teams, they must respond to a problem and make a presentation to a jury of professionals. At the end of this intense and formative day, one team per campus is selected to participate in the grand national final.
For the first time this year, the AMOS campuses remained open for 24 hours to allow students to move forward as a team on their project. Entertainment and activities were also offered during the night to keep the students in good shape. Broadcast of the Champions League match, night running outing, Fifa tournament, Ping Pong…
A similar event is organized for the first years of Bachelor Marketing and Sports Events, over a shorter period of time and with a subject adapted to their level of training.
L’international Day
The international is one of the pillars of AMOS training, in a sector that is globalizing with players competing on world markets, it is important to make students aware of international issues.
The aim of the International Day is to introduce people to the particularities of Sport Business in foreign markets. Depending on the campus, these events can be organized by international students or by the staff. This day is therefore structured around cultural activities, conferences by Sport Business experts abroad and exchanges on international mobility within AMOS.
All these events are an integral part of the training, and allow students to live an experience that goes beyond the classroom. In addition to these national events organized by each of the campuses, there are local initiatives such as partner breakfasts, courses relocated to sports structures or even stadium or company visits.
