Mgdalenaf Confidently Was Rejected by Restaurants Despite Many Followers, Was Blasphemed, Then Apologized

YouTubers who like to eat barbarians Mgdalenaf become the spotlight of netizens. This happened following a statement regarding being refused a restaurant to review food with a capital showing a lot of followers.

Mgdalenaf was completely blasphemed following venting like that by netters. He is considered strange and seems to want to eat for free at a restaurant with a lot of Instagram followers.

Mgdalenaf recounts the restaurant’s experience of being turned down on a podcast. He even had an argument with the restaurant owner when he was not allowed to review.

“Me last year, I wanted to come to a place to eat, I showed how many followers I had, how far I might help, he said ‘this is a business, what do I give you,'” said Mgdalenaf in the video.

“I said, ‘Sir, this is priceless,’ in my heart. For example, if you were asked to pay me, how much might you pay? It happens very often,” he continued.

Furthermore, Mgdalenaf also revealed that his work as a food vlogger is still often underestimated. He even knows the poignant story of his professional colleague when he came to a restaurant where he was not treated well.

“I’m still very often looked down upon. Especially my friends who are even smaller. Or when I was reviewing the restaurant, I was left alone. I thought how come there’s really no class, right, food vlogger,” he said.

After being widely attacked regarding his story, Mgdalenaf apologized. In his clarification, he considered that many netizens misunderstood.

Mgdalenaf then explained that there were two procedures for working with him, through endorsement and voluntary review. Showing the number of followers has become a procedure of his team.

“Here I explain in detail the procedure for how voluntary review cooperation is carried out. Starting from the MGDALENAF team, it will conduct objective research and curation of the MSMEs that it wants to target. Then the MGDALENAF team will ask business actors for shooting permits either via WhatsApp or official SMS, as well as in-person visits,” explained Mgdalenaf in his clarification uploaded on TikTok on Thursday (6/4/2023).

“The team will show the MGDALENAF media portfolio, one of the instruments is the number of followers. So that business actors understand the benefits of digitalization from MGDALENAF media and this stage is only done to ask for shooting permits,” he said.

Mgdalenaf emphasized that his team always takes the initiative to pay for the food they have reviewed. What have they done so far to help digitize culinary MSMEs in Indonesia.

“Then following getting permission, my team and I will conduct a review without charging any fees. And, of course, always take the initiative to pay for the food being reviewed,” said Mgdalenaf.
