In a fresh preview of Lords of the Fallen, the game world was compared with Dark Souls

Edition GamesRadar published preview upcoming dark role-playing action Lords of the Fallen, in which he shared his impressions of the demo. We collected the most interesting:
  • following creating a character, players are not immediately thrown into a cruel world, as was the case in the first game, but they are allowed to get acquainted with the basics in a special area;
  • binding skills to buttons makes it easy to change weapons right in the middle of a battle;
  • the player will be able to complete the game using hand-to-hand combat and dropkick – a special animation was made for the latter, and the GamesRadar journalist compared the technique with “medieval Sifu»;
  • the developers got rid of the parry button – now it is performed by pressing the block at a certain moment of the enemy strike. If the player makes a mistake with the timing, they will still block the hit with the shield;
  • according to the journalist, the game resembles a kind Dark Souls 4 – the world in it resembles an interconnected maze of locations, and not an open world, as, for example, in Elder Ring. The developers explained this approach by the desire to expand the game world not only in the horizontal plane, but also in the vertical one. In addition, the design allows the team to have more control over certain things, such as setting up ambushes in narrow places or showing breathtaking views that suddenly open up;
  • players will explore two parallel worlds, while the world of the undead can be “revealed” using a special lamp. Moving between worlds offers different ways of passing a particular area – for example, in one world the player will find a bridge that is not in another world, and so on.
Lords of the Fallen Coming to PCSteam), PS5 and Xbox Series this year. The game should get Russian subtitles and interface. Previously, the developers shared a whole set of art, which depicts a variety of opponents from the game.
