The flock was frightened and flew around, squeezing and trampling each other, resulting in 460 deaths.
After this matter was discovered by Zhong Nan, Gu Nan compensated 3,000 RMB (approximately NT$13,000), and his resentment towards Zhong Nan deepened, and he used the same method to play a prank on the chicken coop. The court heard that Gu Nan caused property damage to others in order to vent his hatred. He still knew that his behavior would kill the chickens, so he used a flashlight once more, causing Zhong Nan to lose tens of thousands of yuan. This behavior constituted the crime of destroying property, and Gu Nan was sentenced 6 months in prison, suspended for 1 year.
