A fire in the area of a paper machine in Laakirchen on Thursday night prompted the deployment of two fire brigades, the company’s own fire protection group and the rescue service.
The emergency services of the fire brigade were initially alerted to a fire alarm being triggered and then to a fire — which, according to initial information, was limited to the area of a paper machine. The fire was apparently brought under control quickly.
