Mixed reality and artificial intelligence might be the main topics of WWDC 2023. At least, we hope so…
This year, Apple will present the 34th edition of the Worldwide Developers Conference, its event dedicated to its operating systems and now allowing to lift the veil on some new products. But in recent years, and especially since the switch to digital with the pandemic, Apple’s keynote has been losing ground, becoming less and less interesting. But according to most American media, with Bloomberg and the New York Times leading the way, this year’s edition should be the most surprising since 2014, in more ways than one.
On the one hand, it seems that 2023 is finally the year of the long-awaited arrival of the mixed reality headset made in Apple. We talked a lot regarding it last year, but Apple obviously didn’t seem ready. Here, demonstrations would have been offered to Apple employees, proving that the product is maturing. However, the mentioned price of €3,000 would have calmed the ardor of investors and employees who would only see this as a niche product.
The advent of AI and, in particular, of ChatGPT and others would also give ideas to Apple, which might take advantage of it to give Siri a real boost. Long decried for its lack of seriousness and reliability, Apple’s personal assistant would therefore take advantage of the year 2023 to get a makeover.
