The size of the children belonging to the homosexual partners is significant.

Raphael and Ciccio Ravi-Pinto were a gay couple with a dream of starting a family. However, adoption was not allowed for homosexuals and surrogacy was forbidden in Switzerland, so they had to look abroad. In 2020, they travelled to the USA where they met their surrogate mother and now have three children from two different surrogate mothers.

The couple’s happiness is complete now that they have their daughter Gaia and twins Zeno and Giada. The children have grown so big that they were invited to appear on the SRF program “Fitze takes over” with Jan Fitze for a reunion with their favorite audience.

Gaia is already attending kindergarten and refers to her fathers as “Daddy” and “Papa”. The one with curly hair is Daddy and the one with the Bille is Dad. The surrogate mother is called “Buuchmami” by the kindergarten teacher and they still keep in touch.

Ciccio never doubted his ability to have children as a gay man, unlike his partner. He enjoys spending time with his children more than anything else, so it was bittersweet for the couple to have a weekend off while Jan Fitze and his team looked following their children. A hug from little Zeno is worth more than going out for Ciccio.

This story goes to the heart. The gay couple Raphael and Ciccio Ravi-Pinto had one big dream: to start a family. Since homosexuals were not allowed to adopt at the time and surrogacy is forbidden in Switzerland, they looked for a solution abroad.

“SRF bi de Lüt: Familiensache” accompanied the Bernese flight attendant and the computer scientist on their trip to the USA in 2020, where they met their surrogate mother. They have three children from two different surrogate mothers.

Today the family happiness of the two is complete. To daughter Gaia came the twins Zeno and Giada.

In the SRF program “Fitze takes over” with Jan Fitze, there is a reunion with the audience’s favorites. Lo and behold: the kids have grown really big.

Daughter Gaia is already going to kindergarten. She calls her fathers “Daddy” and “Papa”. “The one with the Bille is the dad and the one with the curly hair is the daddy,” she explains to the moderator. Her surrogate mother is the “Buuchmami” for the kindergarten teacher. You are in regular contact.

It gets loud when eating together with the family at the table. Did you always think that one day you would have such a full table? “We wished and hoped for it. That was the goal of starting a family,” explains Ciccio.

Unlike his partner, he never doubted for a second that as a gay man he would have children. He knew: “It works somehow.”

Jan Fitze and his team look following the kids for a weekend so that the couple has time for themselves. This is bittersweet for the two, because they prefer to be with their kids. “I really wanted to have the children,” explains Cicco. “I really enjoy spending time with them.” A hug from little son Zeno is worth more to him than going out.

The journey of Raphael and Ciccio Ravi-Pinto to start a family is nothing short of inspiring. Despite the challenges of being a gay couple in a country where adoption and surrogacy were prohibited, they did not lose hope. Their unwavering determination led them to the USA, where they met their surrogate mothers and were blessed with three beautiful children. Today, their family is complete and their happiness knows no bounds. We were thrilled to see their family once more in “Fitze takes over,” where we witnessed how much the children had grown and how they lovingly refer to their fathers as Daddy and Papa. It is heartwarming to see how much love and affection they share as a family, and we applaud Raphael and Ciccio for never giving up on their dream. We wish them all the happiness in the world and hope that their story inspires many others to follow their hearts and pursue their dreams.
