The Pierre Deniker Foundation launches its call for research projects

Young researchers and academics, until May 5, take part in the Pierre Deniker Foundation’s 2023 call for projects.

Each year, the Pierre Deniker Foundation awards grants and prizes to research teams to advance knowledge of mental illness. Faithful to its mission of research and information, on March 31 it launched its call for projects 2023.

This year, 4 prizes will be awarded to young researchers and academics working in the fields of psychiatry, psychology, neurosciences and humanities and social sciences.

Theme and amount of prizes and scholarships:

  • 1 grant of 10,000 euros for a project on schizophrenia
  • 3 grants of 5,000 euros for projects relating to
    mood disorders

Scholarship Assessment and Awards:

After validation of their admissibility, the files, classified by theme, are evaluated by a Selection Committee made up of representatives of the Scientific Council of the foundation; Projects are selected on the following criteria

  • Innovative value
  • Quality of the laboratory and the environment
    scientist
  • Expected benefits for the population and users
  • Technical feasibility of the project

  • Selection Committee meeting: May 19, 2023
  • Announcement of winners: May 26, 2023
