When I read that nature conservation is preventing the construction of wind turbines because of the necessary deforestation for access roads, I would like to describe a case from Australia.
There is a 37 km long narrow-gauge railway from Cairns to Kuranda, which was built between 1882 and 1891 and runs through the middle of the tropical rainforest along deep gorges and waterfalls. Kuranda is 330 meters above sea level. In order to be able to market this tourist attraction even better, they wanted to build a cable car over the rainforest. However, this was rejected because of the necessary aisles for the access roads.
But the Austrian cable car manufacturer Doppelmayr found the solution for the 7.5 km long Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. Within a year he placed the 32 supports in an environmentally friendly way with helicopters in the jungle. So the many tourists can glide quietly over the rainforest in beautiful gondolas and that
Observe colorful life in tropical forest.
What works for cable car supports should also be feasible for wind turbines!
