Amadou Damaro Camara, former president of the National Assembly and former president of the parliamentary group the presidential movement under the reign of Alpha Condé (rainbow RPG) and some of his former collaborators are in the crosshairs of the Special Court of repression of economic and financial offenses (CRIEF). They are targeted by alleged acts of embezzlement of public funds, illicit enrichment, money laundering, corruption in the public and private sector, illegal taking of interest, learned a reporter that Guineematin.com dispatched to CRIEF.
According to the special prosecutor’s office at the Special Court for the Suppression of Economic and Financial Offenses (CRIEF), Amadou Damaro Camara accused of misappropriation of a whopping 15 billion Guinean francs. Just that ! And how did he do it? Quite simply by embezzling, it is said, funds intended for the construction of a seat for the National Assembly in Koloma (Conakry).
But he would not be alone in this matter. According to the prosecution at CRIEF, the former president of the National Assembly (known as the Covid19 Assembly) is being prosecuted with other former deputies including the late Lounceny Camara, Michel Kamano, Zenab Camara and Abdoulaye Bernard Keita, as well as a Chinese expatriate.
In short, Amadou Damaro Camara should appear tomorrow, Thursday March 6, 2023, before the CRIEF trial chamber, following the passage of Zenab Camara and Michel KAMANO, the two quaestors at the material time.
