“Ted Lasso” and AirPods commercials nominated for Webby Awards

The list of nominees for the 27º Webby Awards, an award promoted by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. The idea of ​​the award is to highlight creations of excellence made in the context of the internet such as websites, commercials, videos and applications. As in the past year, the Apple received considerable prominence, with five nominations.

The first of these was the campaign involving the Apple TV+ series “Ted Lasso” and the game FIFA 23nominated for the Best Partnership or Collaboration in archyde news Campaign. Among the competitors are advertisements for Taco Bell (featuring singer Doja Cat), Duolingo, Mischief and WorkInProgress.

We also had a nomination in the category Best Individual Performance in Performances and Craftwith the AirPods commercial featuring the artist Harry Styles, produced by Media Arts Lab. Other commercials made by Atmosphere Dance, Mantis Management, Mude and Tamir Music compete with the piece.

Another nomination obtained at the Webby Awards by Apple was for the variety program “The Problem with Jon Stewart” (“The Problem With Jon Stewart”), from Apple TV+, nominated in the category Best Writing. Also nominated for this award “2022 Sounds Like 1984”, “Ski for All”, “Swap arrgh for ahhhhhh!” e “The Nonstop NBA”.

In addition, two Apple applications were nominated in two categories: the Apple Podcasts was the company’s highlight in the category Best User Experience/Featuresin addition to other creations such as Reelgood, How We Feel, Universe — Website Builder and Masters of Scale — Courses.

The other app recommended was Apple TVin the category Entertainment and Sports/General Apps. Apple’s competitors are Star Wars, 2022 WINTER OLYMPICS, NBCUniversal – DTC, Major League Soccer and Audacy. Also indicated was the app CNN for tvOS, in the category Best User Interface.
