Chinese media recently reported that PC game console manufacturer GPD will launch a new clamshell-style GPD Win Mini. Equipped with a 7-inch 1080p resolution screen, the built-in battery 45Wh provides enough game time for players; it will be an updated version of GPD Win 2, but compared with GPD Win 4, the improvement is lacklustre.
In terms of body size, GPD Win Mini will be slightly wider and slightly taller than GPD Win 2, and the built-in 45Wh battery capacity will be 12% larger than Steam Deck. The 7-inch screen of GPD Win Mini has a ratio of 16 : 9. The body is equipped with a series of handles and buttons, as well as the H1 and H2 buttons that can be customized by users. There are artificial mechanics at the bottom of the body for easy handling The handle, but it cannot be removed and lacks elasticity.
It was rumored earlier that GPD Win Mini will use AMD Ryzen 7 7840U processor, but the latest news refers to the novelty processor as Ryzen 5 7540U. As in the past, GPD will be released through the crowdfunding website Indiegogo and raise funds for the new machine. It is expected that the project will be launched in July this year and delivered to ordering customers around October.
