We experienced that first-hand this year following a closely fought series once morest Bozen. Nevertheless, we can look back very positively on the 22/23 season and we are already looking forward to next year. Reaching the quarterfinals and the quite respectable basic round were a big step forward. Through attractive ice hockey, we also managed to fill the ranks once more and to reunite the Linz ice hockey family. It’s very nice for us players to see that everyone is pulling together once more and that’s the only way things can continue in the years to come.
As every year, each player has already had final talks with the entire coaching team to review the season. These conversations are usually very constructive and help address improvements and expectations for the next season. Especially this year’s team around Phil Lukas always has an open ear and you can talk well on one level.
After a trip with the team and a dinner together with the whole club, we end the season. Since last week, the first players have gradually gone home or on vacation. For others, it’s on to the national team, where they fight for World Cup participation.
Now that my teammates are going on their well-deserved vacation, things are really getting going once more for me. After a three-month grace period following the second operation, the wait was finally over. I can finally go on the ice once more without any problems and do what I love once more – play ice hockey.
I think we also had a nice, big final party with the fans. The VIP room was packed and, as always, there was a great atmosphere. Thanks to you, we were able to celebrate ice hockey festivals once more this season and revitalize the ice rink.
Thank you Linzaa!
See you soon and stay healthy
