#Agadir: Rich real estate owner, she is sentenced for #fraud by begging

She hid her game well for years. But the recent campaign of repression once morest professional begging in the city of Agadir in Morocco has revealed its true social status.
The one who begged in the posh streets and the great mosques of Agadir, notably that of Lebanon, actually owned real estate, including two villas and a fairly large bank account.

Arrested like other beggars, she was taken into custody and then brought to the prosecution where she was released on bail. It was therefore following this provisional release that the investigations revealed his social status. Bi-national because having another European nationality, the questioning was far from being in need.

His freedom was logically quickly canceled and the King’s Prosecutor ordered his placement in preventive detention. Shortly following, she was tried before the court of first instance of Agadir and was sentenced to six (06) months in prison for fraud since, without being really poor, she chose begging as a lucrative activity.
