Sáenz asked Perczyk to strengthen the UNSa Medicine career to increase the number of entrants

By affirming that “health and education are pillars in government management”, the Governor asked the Minister of Education, Jaime Perczyk, to strengthen the Medicine career at UNSa, with the aim of increasing the number of entrants for the next period. In this regard, Perczyk promised to manage the petition.

In Government House, the governor Gustavo Saenz met with the Minister of Education of the Nation, James Perczykwho is in the province to participate in the Third Regional Meeting of Professional Technical Education that takes place in the city’s Convention Center with the participation of local delegations and from Jujuy, Tucumán, Santiago del Estero, Catamarca and La Rioja.

The Governor and the head of the national education portfolio evaluated the development of educational policies in the province and ratified the decision to continue strengthening investment in public education.

During the meeting, the Governor requested the strengthening of the Medicine career at UNSa, in order to increase the number of initial students for the next term.

The provincial president pointed out that in conversations with the rector of the National University of Salta, Daniel Hoyosand authorities of the Medicine career, the possibility of expanding the teaching staff was considered, which would allow increasing the number of entrants from 50 to 300 students per year.

“This is a fundamental step for our province since it would allow us to have a greater number of doctors in Salta”, said the Governor and affirmed that “health and education are fundamental pillars in our government step”.

In this regard, Minister Perczyk promised to manage the request, arguing the importance of the degree in the public university of the province, which gives many young people the opportunity to access these studies, while favoring generational change. professional and the possibility of having more professionals for health coverage in Salta.

Also participating in the meeting were the Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Technology of Salta, matias canepa; the national secretary of education, Silvina Gvirtzand the Executive Advisor, Mario Caputo.
