Credit Suisse Chairman Apologizes to Shareholders – Corporate

Zurich – The last general meeting of the troubled Credit Suisse started on Tuesday with an apology from the chairman of the board of directors. “We wanted to do everything we might to turn the tide for the better,” asserted Axel Lehmann to the shareholders in Zurich. “It pains me and I’m sincerely sorry that the time wasn’t there and that our plans were thwarted following that fatal week in March. That we were no longer able to stop the loss of trust that had accumulated over the years, that we disappointed you all, for that I beg your pardon.”
