The return of sunny days gives wings to the Paris Stock Exchange. The CAC 40 index is heading for a new all-time high on Tuesday. It has progressed every session since March 27. A sequence of seven consecutive sessions of unprecedented increase since February 2021. It reached 7,399 points in the middle of the day, a level higher than the last closing record of January 5, 2022 at 7,376 points.
Three times already, the Paris Stock Exchange had unsuccessfully attempted the feat since the beginning of the year. The last time, on March 6, the Paris index had even reached 7,401 points during the session. The next day, the difficulties of American regional banks dragged the financial world into the worst bank panic since the financial crisis of 2008. The stock market storm subsided, the Parisian index is now back on the charge. Even the decision of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) to reduce the production of black gold did not affect the dynamism of the CAC 40.
