From 12:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Thursday April 6will govern the traffic restriction of heavy-duty vehicles in the Central Roadin order to avoid congestion and give the greatest facilities to internal tourism during the long holiday for Easter.
The information was released during the presentation of the Operations Plan “Holy Week 2023” in which the commander-in-chief of the National PolicePNP General Jorge Angle, la Highway Police and the Superintendency of Land Transportation of People Cargo and Merchandise (Sutran).

According to the provision of Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC)through RD No. 06-2023-MTC/18, on April 9, the day of return and the end of the long holiday, the restriction on the central highway is from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Renzo Torres, Assistant Manager of Electronic Supervision of Tomorrowsaid all cargo vehicles have to go through alternate routes while in those hours, only private units and passenger transport buses will circulate.
The constraint starts at the km 23 from Central road at the height of Chaclacayo (out of Lima) and ends the km 145 at the height of the populated center of pucara (entrance to Huancayo-Junín region).

“It is not regarding 6 to 9, but the restrictions are only for those 2 days, then circulation is normal,” he said.
He added that the Tomorrow in coordination with the Highway Police will be on permanent alert to enforce the provisions given as well as in the supervision and control operations not only on roads nationwide but also in the land terminals.
He added that during the restriction and in coordination with Provias alternate routes have been established and for this reason drivers can enter the interactive map and learn not only the roads they can use but also their conditions.
