The premium experience at a reduced price
With its small format, its lightness and its neat finishes, the Galaxy S22 is a real pleasure to use. It benefits from Samsung’s expertise and offers excellent image quality with its 6.1-inch AMOLED screen that displays infinite contrasts as well as Full HD+ definition. Add to that its refresh rate of 120 Hz, and the user experience is very pleasant.
The photographic composition reveals a triple sensor of 50 + 12 + 10 megapixels, where the wide-angle, the ultra-wide-angle and the x3 telephoto lens offer good photographic versatility. The shots are successful in most cases, with a good level of detail. Be careful, however, with the management of the dynamic, which tends to sin on each objective.
With few concessions
Now equipped with Qualcomm chips, the Galaxy S22 relies on the SoC Exynos 2200 coupled here with 8 GB of RAM. With this configuration, the phone can perform any daily task with ease. On the other hand, it has some difficulties in running demanding games with the graphics pushed to the maximum. Nothing prohibitive, especially since it is possible to take advantage of the One UI 5 interface with Android 13, which makes the user experience very pleasant.
Finally, autonomy is not the strong point of this model. With moderate use, its small 3,700 mAh battery lasts the day, but with intensive use, it shouldn’t last the evening. Quite a shame, especially since the fast charge is limited to 25 W, knowing that the latter is not included with the phone. We still appreciate the compatibility with wireless charging which is indeed part of it.
