Vienna – In the future, 350 bicycle police officers will take up the fight once morest “traffic offenders” throughout Austria. Interior Minister Gerhard Karner (ÖVP) announced this on Monday at a media event in Vienna. There are currently 310 officers who provide patrol service with bicycles, e-bikes and S-Pedelecs and are intended to ensure that all road users coexist as harmoniously as possible and “safety for pedestrians and cyclists”, as Karner said.
