It is an original proposal, which is made by Block Out Lille. The climbing hall Marcq-en-Baroeul will host its very first music FestivalSaturday 1is July 2023. Eight local groups share the poster for this premiere, which will see entertainment for the whole family.
Urban music, tattoos, graffiti…
“We had the idea of bringing together groups that make urban music in an event,” says Alexandre Tournakis, one of the instigators of the project, himself in a “fusion” group. “Initially, we wanted to find a date to bring together several groups from the area, and Block Out offered to do that there. A way for the climbing room to test an event formula. »
Eight groups will be reunited for this premiere: TRoNcKH (déglingocore), Skalogg’s (ska), NAK (punkcore), Falvino (blues rock), One More Slave (rock and rap fusion), Whatever Nufunk (funky rock), Nothing for free ( melodic punk) and Big Death Amego (grungecore).
Around the music, festival-goers will be able to enjoy various activities: a tattoo stand, games for children, a photo area, another dedicated to graffiti. “We tried to bring together several urban disciplines, in a friendly event on a human scale”, explains Alexandre.
Beginning at 2 p.m., this festival has been designed for a wide audience. “There will be a bouncy castle for the children, and in the followingnoon the music will be accessible. In the evening, we will be more in the fusion, in the ‘get into it’”.
For this first, the organization sees itself leaving the room by Block Out, which it equips. One thing predominates for this first edition: the common passion for urban culture, and above all the desire to share a good time. “Each of the participants is involved in the event. We see it as a small festival, to put the ‘underground’ culture in the broad sense forward, ”supports Alexandre. It remains to wait a little to see if this new proposal will seduce the public!
