At the realization, there is Martin Bourboulon, in charge of staging a modern version of the story. We went to the set. Every day for seven months, the actors were immersed in sumptuous settings: castles and abbeys colonized by hundreds of technicians and extras, all serving scenes of horse riding, as well as fights, choreographed in the smallest detail. . Before filming, the actors underwent intensive preparation for six months: courses in equestrian vaulting and fencing.
“What can be scary is to miss your passage when the sequence shot has started 10 minutes ago. But I like it, it creates an urgency, it creates a precious concentration where everyone gives. And there is solidarity”explains Romain Duris.
