Ardenal Baltazar Porras celebrated the Palm Sunday mass in the Caracas Cathedral, where he blessed the palms of the parishioners.

“Parishioners take to the streets this Sunday to commemorate the Pascual Triduum: the passion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, one of the most important moments of the liturgical year in Christianity,” wrote the Archdiocese of Caracas on social networks.

The devotees lined up to participate in the Eucharist, which continued with the consecration of the palms in the Plaza Bolívar of the capital city.

Father Juan Carlos Silva, parish priest of El Sagrario de Catedral, and deacon Germán Machado were present at the meeting.

“Long lines outside the main Catholic temple in Venezuela, the Metropolitan Cathedral of Caracas, where the parishioners hope to participate in the Palm Mass presided over by the Archbishop of Caracas, Cardinal Baltazar Porras,” he added.
