Adam El Mouna, Sophie Grenier, Jay and Christopher Therrien received the highest percentages of public votes during the semi-final of “La Voix” on Sunday evening.
With 55% of the public votes, Adam El Mouna goes to the final of “The Voice”. He was able to impose himself with “Dommage”, the song of BigFlo and Oli. In a moving staging, he delivered a performance that flirted with perfection. “For you, it’s not the last time,” said Marc Dupré. You are so in your place on stage, you understand the text, you understand the interpretation. As an artist, you are ready.
Earlier, Loïk Jolicoeur started the competition by interpreting “Ayoye” by Offenbach to keep his place in Marc Dupré’s team. “I felt you so inhabited by the song,” commented his coach. It’s crazy how you convey emotion in an extraordinary way.
For this semi-final, only the public had the right to decide which candidates go through to the final.
Mario Pelchat Team
With 71% of the public’s votes, Sophie Grenier wins her place in the final for Mario Pelchat’s team. The two candidates of Mario Pelchat strangely focused their choice of songs on Dalida’s repertoire. Sophie Grenier opted for “Let me dance”, which she completely transformed. “It was exquisite,” exclaimed France D’Amour. You have the talent to bring out the best in a song from another era. You create your own current, and you sing like nobody else because I think that one day the others will sing like you. The coach especially confessed to him that his voice had a soothing power. “Your voice calms me, it is beautiful. You’re going to have a great career no matter what tonight.”
Steffy Beyond started the ball rolling with “Dying on Stage”, to which she gave another dimension, and which ended on disco-electro tunes.
“I’m so happy to see you in this register, Corneille told him. We know that you are able to sing ballads, but we hadn’t seen you in this register, it’s another facet of your talent that remains to be discovered. The manager went in the same direction telling her: “You are captivating, I can’t even imagine that at the beginning there was this lack of confidence. When you have everything, you are ready.”
Charles Lafortune then surprised Mario Pelchat, presenting him with a plaque certifying the sale of more than 25,000 tickets for his anniversary tour “Comme au premier rendez-vous”, for which he announced several additional dates.
Corneille Team
With 58% of the public votes, Jay will represent Team Corneille in the final.
“It means everything to me,” he said following the announcement of the results.
In an Afro-Caribbean and Quebec fusion, Jay completely transformed the song “Viens on s’aime”, by Slimane, during his performance. “I forgot that I was at “La Voix”, I was in a Jay concert, launched Mario Pelchat. This smile and this happiness that you give us, you set the fire. Corneille nodded, adding, “You wear your roots so proudly,” Corneille said. Haiti is a small country and a huge people, and I think they can be proud of you today.”

With the good advice of her coach, Christa Maria Abou Akl wanted to present an Arab version of the song “D’amour et d’Amitié” by Celine Dion, accompanying herself on the keyboards. A performance very generously applauded by the public in the studio. “It’s crazy because, I don’t know if people realize how difficult it is what you do, insisted Marc Dupré. You are so touching, emotional, real and natural. We discover you a little more each time. His coach was also impressed. “I am no longer your coach, I am your fan. You have something extraordinary that combines a talent as a singer and a crazy musician.

Team Marjo
Christopher Therrien won 58% of the public votes once morest Julie St-Pierre. He therefore returns next week for the final. He opened the competition with a rock version, with country accents, of “I hear knocking” by Michel Pagliaro. “When we talk regarding eating the stage, leaving everything on a stage, that’s what you just did, said Marc Dupré. Music is also regarding sharing and what you did tonight.
“It was chocolate cake, zero calories, added France D’Amour. That was delicious.”
Last candidate to tread the stage, Julie St-Pierre had chosen the version of Barbara Pravis of the song “Kid” by Eddy de Pretto. “Think regarding your path from the start, regarding what you felt at the blind auditions and look where you are, it’s your path, expressed Corneille, visibly moved. I’m so happy to see you here.”
France D’Amour also really liked this version. “I would like to say to you on behalf of all the non-botoxed, of all the women who love and accept themselves as they are, thank you. It takes courage to sing that in the semi-finals. You have a lot of courage and you gave us a lot of it.
France D’Amour was back in the coaching chair once more, as Marjo was still unwell. “It’s as if you had given me the keys to a Ferrari by saying to me: go have fun, the big one, told France D’Amour, thanking the production for having called him. It’s a great opportunity.”
