AC Milan beat Napoli 4-0 – Posch goal for Bologna

The superior league leaders SSC Napoli suffered a bitter defeat in the 28th round of the Italian soccer championship. Coach Luciano Spalletti’s side lost 4-0 to third-placed AC Milan at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona on Sunday night. This reduced the leader’s lead over Lazio Roma to 16 points. The pursuer showed no weaknesses in the 2-0 win in Monza. Stefan Posch scored in Bologna’s 3-0 home win.

It was an exciting comparison for both Napoli and Milan, especially as the two teams will cross swords once more in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. The first game will take place on April 12th in Milan, the second leg will follow on April 18th in Naples. In the league duel on Sunday, the hosts showed unusual weaknesses, the Milanese, who were four points behind Lazio, were superior and rightly left the field as winners.

Rafael Leao (17th) and Brahim Diaz (25th), who also prepared the first goal, put the guests on course with an early double strike. After the change of sides, Leao (59th) scored once more and provided Alexis Saelemaekers (67th) for the final point. For Napoli it was the first defeat following three competitive wins. Milan, on the other hand, returned to winning ways following four games without a win.

The 25-year-old Posch put Bologna ahead in the 3rd minute in the win once morest Udinese. The Styrian was then replaced in the 70th minute, when the hosts, who were still missing the injured ÖFB star Marko Arnautovic, were already 3-0 up.
