By Judith McMurray | Originally from Latuquoise, Julie Boulianne is now the owner of the Sutton-alliance inc. franchise, a real estate agency representing the entire territory of Mauricie and Centre-du-Québec.
Julie Boulianne had a busy career path before arriving at this position. Between La Tuque, Quebec and the Laurentians, several municipalities have dotted the route of Latuquoise and her family.
“I took my course in hospitality and I also opened a restaurant when I was 24. It was the baptism of administration. I always say it’s a bit like my master’s degree at university, but in the field,” she sneers.
After spending a few years in the Laurentians, she returned to Mauricie, considering that many of her relatives live in La Tuque and the region.
“We decided to come back to the family,” she says.
As for her professional career, Julie Boulianne gradually moved towards customer service, an area in which she spent several years. “It was later that I decided to get started and do my real estate brokerage course. My children were young, I did it in the evening and every other weekend. It was a blow to give for six months, ”she explains.
Now accumulating 13 years of experience in real estate sales, Latuquoise has had the opportunity to work in several agencies. His final choice for buying a franchise was Sutton. “The values joined me more. It’s more people-oriented, broker-oriented, more than result-oriented. »
What matters above all to Julie Boulianne is to create a link with the client. “We are close, we talk to each other several times a week. So what I really want is to help them. »
One of the main values she wants to put forward in her company is the human factor.
” It is a world apart [l’immobilier] and people don’t know it. Several brokers leave the business following a year, but no one talks regarding that. admits the owner. My goal is to support new brokers and help them do well. We formed a family here. »
A family matter
Sutton-Alliance is also a family in the proper sense.
“I work with my daughter now! “. Indeed, Julie Boulianne and her daughter Laurie now work together in the company. “Me and Laurie complement each other very well. She is very organized, analytical and structured, so she works more with buyers. »
The Sutton-alliance inc. currently has 28 brokers in 5 offices in Trois-Rivières, Shawinigan, Bécancour, Victoriaville and Drummondville.
“We are still developing, but we focus much more on quality than quantity,” says the owner.
Although she still has clients, Julie Boulianne wants to expand the real estate market in La Tuque. “It’s in the process of having someone who is there full-time as a broker to be able to develop La Tuque as well. »
Thus, La Tuque is still very present in the life of women. “The advantage is that you experienced the best of both worlds in La Tuque. Everything is close, everything is there. It’s a beautiful city, she says. We girls from La Tuque are mixed girls. We are wooden girls and we are able to manage! »
