ÇIt smelled of fir for a few weeks, but it’s now official. E3, the iconic video game trade show held every June in Los Angeles, has seen its 2023 edition canceled. And there is little chance that he will ever come back. It must be said that following the withdrawal in turn from Nintendo, then from Microsoft, Ubisoft or even Sony, which had already shunned the gathering since the 2019 edition, we no longer saw who was going to be able to make the trip.

Traditionally, the show allowed developers and their publishers to present their games to the press at very pompous conferences and on the megalomaniac booths of the Los Angeles Convention Center. But without the participation of console manufacturers and many of the most important publishers, the high mass of video games would undoubtedly have been difficult to say.
