“Inside GSEZ, special student” discovery days and mid-term review

LIBREVILLE, March 30 (Infosplusgabon) – As part of the celebration of the decade of transformation, highlighting the industrial advances of Gabon’s economic zones, in collaboration with the government, GSEZ has initiated the program “Inside Gsez, special students” , which aims to open the doors of the Special Investment Zone of Nkok to high school students in Gabon, reported Thursday a joint press release GSEZ and 1rst Carbon-neutral certified Industrial Zone in Africa.

Indeed, in the heart of the Special Investment Zone of Nkok, the first edition of this program began on March 3, 2023, in the presence of Mrs. Camelia NTOUTOUME-LECLERCQ, Minister of National Education, in charge of Civic Training, Mrs. Aubierge Sylvine NGOMA, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Education, in charge of Civic Training, Mr. Elvis OSSINDJI, Minister of Mines and Geology and Mr. Hugues MBADINGA MADIYA, Minister for the Promotion of Investments, Public-Private Partnerships, responsible for improving the business environment.

This first phase, which ended on March 17, enabled 1,730 students from Third to Terminale classes to discover how the area works and meet professionals from the industrial sector. During these 3 weeks, the students were able to visit the Single Window and its 22 administrations, the wood particle company Nature Panels, the International Multisector Center for Vocational Training and Education (CIMFEP), the plastic recycling Jiaming Plastic, the Gabonese furniture manufacturing company Gorilla In & Out, the new interior container depot ICD, the Gabonese furniture exhibition center AKIBA and many other companies.

The establishments that participated in the “Inside Gsez, special students” this March were: the Lycée Technique National Omar Bongo, the Lycée Technique de Bikelé, the Lycée Technique de Libreville, the Technological Institute of Owendo and the Colleges of Secondary Education (CES) in Damascus, Awendje, Pao, Avorbam, Cap Estérias, Owendo, Alenakiri, Olivier Ambaye, and Batavea.

The interest of opening the doors of the ZIS of Nkok, was for GSEZ, to arouse vocations among these young people and invite Gabonese youth to occupy the first place in the sustainable and responsible transformation of Gabon.
