Libya – Misurata Free Zone confirmed the continuation of work on the project to maintain the concrete structure of grain silos and their service building in the Misurata Free Zone.
The concrete structure maintenance project comes in implementation of the strategy of managing the free zone in Misurata and in accordance with the general plan to develop the port, improve the quality of work and raise the production capacity.
It is noteworthy that the grain silos are the first of their kind since their establishment in the mid-seventies, as these silos contain 12 main cells, each with a diameter of 12 meters and a height of 45 meters, with a total capacity of 40 thousand tons. These silos will help eliminate the quantitative and qualitative losses of grain.
The completion rate has reached 88% and the project is expected to be completed and handed over at the end of next June.
