Shaman Durek has moved away from his mother
Self-proclaimed celebrity guru Durek Verrett is set to marry Princess Märtha Louise of Norway soon, although no date has yet been announced. In June 2022, the Royal Court of Norway issued two congratulatory statements, one signed by King Harald and Queen Sonja, the other by the heir apparent, to wish Princess Märtha Louise all the best.
For her part, Princess Märtha Louise, 51, wrote on her Instagram account: “I am so happy to announce that I am engaged to Shaman Durek, the one who makes my heart beat, the one who sees me and considers me for my highest potential, who makes me laugh and with whom I can be vulnerable”. In October 2022, King Harald V made the decision to dismiss his eldest daughter, depriving her of her royal duties. The decision was made due to the nebulous activities she manages with her fiancé. Together, they provide spiritual guidance to their flock.
Until now, the family of Durek Verrett or Shaman Durek, had remained silent. The Norwegian magazine See and listen managed to land an exclusive interview with Veruschka Urquhart, 79, the future mother-in-law of Princess Märtha Louise. Veruschka Urquhart’s revelations are surprising to say the least. What might she have said more shockingly regarding the guru? Shaman Durek notably spent time in prison during his youth, agreeing to take responsibility for a fire caused by friends. Recently, the very lucrative sale of talismans with healing powers has caused controversy. This is at the origin of the dismissal of the royal functions of the princess.

Veruschka Urquhart reveals Shaman Durek
In 2018, Shaman Durek, 48, praised his mother on Facebook on Mother’s Day. “My wonderful and powerful mother, the oracle who gave me life and guided me wisely to love women and let them be queens with honor and respect”, wrote the fiancé of Märtha Louise on his social networks. Another story from the side of the mother, who is also clairvoyant and has gifts.
Shaman Durek’s mother lives alone in New York and has gone through a very difficult time, heavily affected by the coronavirus. She is particularly angry with her son for not having visited her at Christmas with his fiancée, when Princess Märtha Louise was in New York with her three daughters, Maud Angelica Behn, 19, Leah Isadora Behn, 17, and Emma Tallulah Behn, 14 years old.
“He does not work for the world, he works once morest the world. He doesn’t work for the people, he works once morest the people.”says the mother of the shaman, who already pregnant knew that her son would have special powers. “Durek does not help you find divine light. He takes you to his light, where he can infiltrate and manipulate you”continues Veruschka Urquhart, from her birth name Sheila G. Farmer.
Despite the criticism, Durek’s mother is enthusiastic regarding the wedding. She claims to have never met Märtha Louise but they spoke on the phone. She also thanked the King and Queen of Norway for the warm welcome they gave her son. King Harald and Queen Sonja have never publicly criticized their future son-in-law. The guru was first married to Zaneta Marszalkova. Princess Märtha Louise was also separated from artist Ari Behn, father of her three daughters, before he took his own life on Christmas Day 2019.
Veruschka Urquhart claims that relations with her son have gradually become strained and that they have almost cut ties, due to disagreements over the use of Durek’s powers. Simon Eriksen Valvik, the Norwegian manager of Durek Verrett, said he did not wish to comment on the case for reasons of family privacy.
According to Durek Verrett, born Derek, his mother is of Norwegian and Indian origin, while his father is from Haiti. Durek’s paternal family tree is easily traceable and nothing seems to link the family to Haiti. As for the Norwegian origins that Durek frequently mentions, they are also questioned by specialists.
