Transfers of funds made by Moroccans residing abroad (MRE) amounted to nearly 17.3 billion dirhams (MMDH) at the end of February 2023, once morest 13.45 billion dirhams a year earlier, according to the Office des Changes.
These transfers thus posted an increase of 28.6% (+3.84 billion dirhams) compared to February 2022, specifies the Office in a document on the monthly indicators of foreign trade for the month of February.
In addition, the Office reports a surplus in the balance of trade in services up by more than 13.51 billion dirhams. This increase follows an increase in exports (+88.3% to 37.65 billion dirhams) greater than that of imports (+31.4% to 17.31 billion dirhams).
