Wording: we contacted the head of the administration of Pūre and Jaunsāti parishes Edgar Keiran. He explained that these trees grew on the border with the territory of the Pūre horticulture experimental station: “They were old willows, not valuable trees at all. They were overgrown a long time ago, so the wind broke them and then some fell on our territory, and others – on the other side. We had previously discussed this issue of what to do with the trees and who would do it – us or the company. Therefore, the trees have now been cut down and new ones will be planted in their place, as the company has explained on social networks.” When asked if the territory of the former stage is being maintained, E. Keirāns explained that last year the administration employees cleaned the place, but daily maintenance work is carried out by SIA “Komunālserviss TILDe”, which mows the grass and collects garbage in the summer, and also now that the snow has melted , this work will have to be done more intensively. We were also interested in whether there is any plan to restore the stage. The head of the board explained that the board keeps this in mind all the time, but without the co-financing of the European Union funds, the stage cannot be built, because the board does not have that kind of money.
Cleans the area
It should be noted that on Facebook the Pūre horticulture experimental station also expressed its opinion, explaining that “the territory is currently being cleaned with a plan to beautify it. Various flowering shrubs and trees are planned to beautify the footpath. If there is an extra plant of tulips, daffodils or other flowers, please contact us so that they can also be included in the beautification of the walking path. About a month ago, negotiations on the beautification of the path were started in the parish administration, so that the beauty would be created not only in our territory, but also in the part where there is parish land along the path. About the willows behind the stage. Cleaning work has also started there, with the hope that in the future, when the stage will be restored, a row of bushes of different colors and blooming at different times will have already grown in its background. If you, the residents, have any idea or wish regarding the flowering bushes and trees that we might plant, please let us know so that we can together restore the beautiful face of Pūre and have joy and pride ourselves both while walking and listening to the music that sounds from nature and ours. in hearts!”
