(HUAWEI) – Huawei Northern Africa held an online press conference on March 31, 2023 during which Mr. Adnane Ben Halima, Vice President in charge of Public Relations, presented the results of the company’s 2022 annual report. .
This report highlights Huawei’s outstanding performance in the world, as well as its commitment to providing cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions to its customers. The company reports stable regular business throughout 2022, having generated CNY 642.3 billion in revenue (€85.9 billion) and CNY 35.6 billion in net profit (€4.7 Billions of Euro’s). In Africa, Huawei has experienced remarkable growth and continues to work closely with its partners to drive economic and social development in the region.

Adnane Ben Halima notably highlighted Huawei’s technological advances in various fields, such as 5G, cloud computing and artificial intelligence. These technologies are indeed playing a crucial role in Africa’s digital transformation, driving economic growth, improving public services and building the capacity of local businesses.
Huawei’s spending on research and development has skyrocketed and kept rising until it reaches CNY 161.5 billion in 2022 (€21.6 billion). This represents 25.1% of its total annual revenue, bringing its total R&D expenditure over the past ten years to more than CNY 977.3 billion (€130.7 billion), which is among the highest numbers in Huawei’s history.
