These days, the historic followers of Los Nocheros were excited regarding a rumor that began to spread and which was echoed by some journalistic media: the possibility of Jorge Rojas returning to Los Nocheros to tour together following the departure of Kike Teruel .
It should be remembered that Kike announced his retirement from the stage last January and as confirmed, he will give his last show with the group on May 1st.
In between, the group had to suspend several performances due to the delicate state of health of La Moro, Mario Teruel’s partner and historic composer of the group, who passed away a few days later. She was 58 years old.
A month later, in the first days of March, another bad news shook the band: the death of Felipe Teruel, father of Mario and Kike, who fired him on their social networks.

Jorge Rojas does not return with Los Nocheros
“There is no chance. Not even 1%”, they expressed to VOS from Rojas’s entourage regarding the version of the singer’s return to the group that he left in 2005 to embark on a successful solo career.
According to that source, the growth of the rumor has to do first with the announced departure of Kike and also with the presence of Rojas in Salta, where he visited Mario Teruel at his home following many years.
The meeting of both artists was very emotional, since Rojas spent a lot of time there in that house when he was part of the group. The truth is that the visit was very personal and with the intention of expressing condolences for the loss of La Moro and her father. Nothing was said regarding Los Nocheros and a possible return, as was speculated.
Even from Rojas’s environment they took it upon themselves to make it clear that it is not an objective of the artist at this time.
It should be remembered that Rojas and Mario had a public reunion in 2017, when the former invited the oldest of the Teruel family to sing at a show in Salta. From there, they resumed a friendship relationship. Years before, something similar had happened with Rubén Ehizaguirre. With Kike, on the other hand, the differences remain to this day.
How are Los Nocheros going?
There are not too many certainties regarding how Los Nocheros will continue following Kike’s departure. According to reports, the group carried out some tests to find a replacement, even within the same Teruel family.
Nor is the possibility of continuing as a trio ruled out, as happened in Kike’s previous outing. What did remain floating in the air is the chance of a dream cross between Los Nocheros and Rojas at a festival next summer. “That is possible, time will tell,” they said from the environment.
