Singer Melanie Martinez now looks unrecognizable. The singer of the viral Play Date song totally changed her appearance to become eccentric which tends to be scary.
Making her debut in 2015, Melanie carries a playful and cute girl persona. Colorful hair, pink makeup has been shown by Melanie throughout her musical career.
His appearance now however looks so contrasting. Melanie changed her personality with the release of her latest album titled Portal. Since February, the 27-year-old woman has shown a change in her appearance on Instagram.
On Saturday (25/3/2023) Melanie released her video clip for her new song Death with a shocking performance. Melanie transforms into a ‘pink creature’.
With make-up that forms her face like an alien, Melanie now appears with four eyes. The other two eyes were made using prosthetic techniques.
Melanie’s appearance reaped a lot of controversy. Not a few netizens criticized the change and Melanie was called a copy of Bjork’s style.
“Bjork is that you?” quipped one netizen.
“WTF this is plagiarism from Bjork,” wrote another.
Melanie Martinez is a woman of Puerto Rican descent who grew up in New York, United States. Melanie became known in 2012 following participating in The Voice.
After the talent contest, Melanie released her debut single entitled Dollhouse. His name skyrocketed until one of his songs entitled Play Date went viral on TikTok.
