With the purpose of strengthening the country’s health system, the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, inaugurates this Thursday in the spaces of Los Caobos Park in Caracas, the first International Health Fair Venezuela (Fisven) 2023, where exhibitors show the advances and innovations in health.
The Executive Vice President toured the different stands arranged at Fisven to learn regarding health advances in the country and in invited countries.
“We are very happy with this health fair, I congratulate the authorities who made this extraordinary organization possible, where more than eleven countries share health sciences for all,” emphasized Rodríguez.
He stressed that this is the legacy that Commander Chávez left us. “We are strengthening the health system. You have to remember Barrio Adentro, which means the doctor attending at home, attending to the issue of the pandemic, ”he said.
The vice president toured the Fair together with representatives of the delegations of the participating countries, including Mexico, Cuba, Iran, Bolivia, China, Russia, Haiti, Brazil, Egypt, Argentina, Palestine and Barbados. Likewise, representatives of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and the World Health Organization (WHO) are present.
The Vice President was also accompanied on her inaugural tour by the sectoral Vice Presidency of Science, Technology, Education and Health, Gabriela Jiménez, and the health ministerMagaly Gutierrez.
Postcovid and new perspectives
Vice President Delcy Rodríguez stated that what is coming post-covid is being evaluated, “we are in the exchange of experiences, this pandemic claimed the lives of millions of people in the world.”
During the fair, said the Vice President, “we will have exhibitions on science, health, today there is a lot of talk regarding artificial intelligence and how it is applied to health. In this sense, Venezuela is supported in this, and the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, will make important announcements regarding these advances.
“These are issues in which we are making progress and thanks to the allied countries we have overcome the blockade and sanctions,” he added.
“A single Venezuela pushing towards the happiness of the people,” he said.
Fisven started
“The 1st International Health Fair 2023 has already started from El #ParqueLosCaobos in Caracas, and the Ministry of Science and Technology is present,” the Ministry published this Wednesday on its Twitter account.
This activity will have the participation of different institutions belonging to the National Public Health System, in addition to medical personnel, nurses, health personnel, administrative personnel and high-level authorities.
The purpose of the first International Health Fair Venezuela 2023 is to strengthen public health policies, as well as show the public and countries present the projects and proposals for strengthening the Venezuelan health system.

During Fisven 2023, more than 11 countries will be present, including: Cuba, Iran, Bolivia, China and Russia, with the aim of promoting exchanges and experiences in health.
According to a note from Latin Pressat least 30 stands will be arranged in Parque Los Caobos to demonstrate the experiences and projects of the invited nations and Venezuela.
At Fisven, the public will have spaces for debates, dynamic activities to reinforce knowledge and allow the establishment of alliances and mechanisms that guarantee the consolidation of works carried out in health matters.
Likewise, the fair will have the participation of medical students, laboratories, societies, academies and the general public.
The experts will offer lectures on international experiences in systems, methods and specialties related to health sciences, addressing topics such as the scope of the Sustainable Development Goals and Scientific and Technological Innovations.
Cuba present
The national director of Teaching of the Medical Mission CubanLéster Marrero, stated that the island will participate in FisVen with experts and a small sample of high-tech equipment produced by two national companies.
Marrero indicated that the equipment is currently used in the Cuban Health System, and is also included in the projects and services provided by Cuban doctors and specialists in Venezuela.
He added that, together with the Mission, they will be represented at the event by the Cuban business group BioCubaFarma and the Commercial Company for Computer Products, Biotechnology and Medicine (Combiomed).
Cuban panels on health
This Thursday there will be a first panel called “History, present and future from a health perspective” with the themes of patient safety, technology and health, and post-Covid health, where Dr. Daniuska Hernández, director of Epidemiology of the Caribbean Mission, will participate. reported Lester Marrero.
For this Friday, March 31, the second panel referred to the “Impact of common challenges on international medicine” will be held, in which Cuba will be represented by Dr. Felipe Delgado Bustillo, who has extensive international experience in hygiene and epidemiology in more from nine countries.
