Former US President Donald Trump has been charged in connection with an alleged hush money payment to a porn actress. This was reported by the “New York Times” on Thursday, and several other US media confirmed the report. Trump is the first former US President in history to face impeachment. The indictment was preceded by a vote by a grand jury. This is a lay body that, in non-public cases, has to decide whether evidence from the public prosecutor’s office is sufficient for an indictment.
