In a solemn declaration read Thursday, March 30, 2023 in Libreville, the elected officials and political leaders of the province of Woleu Ntem (north), all members of the Gabonese Democratic Party (PDG, in power) gave their unwavering support to René Ndemezo ‘Obiang, whom they consider to be the “unifier”, recently appointed Minister of State by the Head of State, Ali Bongo Ondimba.
“Experienced politician, experienced in managing people and constantly inhabited by the virtues of generosity, unity and temperance, René Ndemezo’Obiang is truly and objectively the man for the job to federate all the daughters and sons of our county”said the executives of the north in a statement read by Jean Jacques Engo Allogo, executive of the province and member of the National Council of the PDG.
This declaration follows the petition carried out by certain executives of the ruling party lurking in the shadows, who would oppose the return to the CEO of René Ndemezo’ Obiang, former lieutenant of the opponent Jean Ping. The results of this petition, which has nearly 1,000 signatures, indicate “the rejection of the leadership of Ndemezo’Obiang in Bitam”, his political fold. A stinking maneuver that other executives denounce with the utmost energy.
“Despite the few gross attacks and other misguidances observed here and there since his return to the PDG, we ask the Minister of State to begin in the coming days and weeks to come his announced tour in the various localities of our province to deliver his message eagerly awaited by the populations”, he knocked, while thanking President Ali Bongo for his spirit of foresight.
During this declaration which mobilized several dozen people in a hotel in Libreville, Jean Jacques Engo Allogo, did not fail to call for the mobilization of “all and all to ensure a resounding victory for the Distinguished Comrade President” during the August 2023 presidential election.
