The singer Stromae, currently on tour in France, must give up three concerts in Nantes (western France) this week, following having already had to cancel three dates last week, his producers announced on Wednesday.
“Stromae’s state of health does not allow him to perform the three concerts scheduled for this week at the Zenith in Nantes, from March 29 to 31. We are therefore forced to cancel these three performances“, said in a press release the company Auguri Productions.
The 38-year-old from Brussels, very popular in France, is currently on a European tour to promote his album “Multitude“, released a year ago.
He returned to the stage in the summer of 2022 following a long period of absence caused by a burnout when he chained concerts for the album of his consecration, “Racine Carrée”, released in 2013.
Last week, its producers had justified by “medical reasons“, without further details, the cancellation of three concerts in the east of France.
Stromae, whose real name is Paul Van Haver, is one of the French-speaking artists who sells the most music in the world.
He shone in February in the winners of the Victoires de la Musique in France. “Multitude” was crowned best album there and itself male artist of the year.
