Lebanon to Experience a Cold Polar Wave from Turkey by End of March – How Will Palm Sunday’s Weather Hold Up?

Father Elie Kneisser, an expert in weather and climatology, has stated that Lebanon’s coastal and mountainous regions are experiencing moderate to heavy rainfall from Thursday noon until Friday morning. A cold polar wave from Turkey has resulted in a significant drop in temperatures, and snow is expected at around 1000 meters. However, this snowfall won’t be widespread due to varying cloud concentrations. Wind speeds have dropped to 30 km per hour from 100/110 km per hour, and Lebanon is expected to experience its coldest phase until Saturday, with temperatures dropping to 8-9 degrees on the coast and -1 degree in Bekaa. On Saturday followingnoon, conditions will improve, and temperatures will rise by 6-8 degrees on Sunday. According to Khneisser, Palm Sunday’s weather will be sunny and mild.
