Running can help treat premature ejaculation

According to a study carried out by an international group of scientists, men who suffer from premature ejaculation can reduce the problem by running regularly. The survey was published in February in the scientific journal Trends in Urology and Men’s Health.

The research analyzed 54 previously published studies on premature ejaculation involving 3,500 participants, but the scientists focused on the results of an article that evaluated the impact of physical activity on premature ejaculation in 105 men.

Volunteers were divided into three groups: a control group, which did not exercise for 30 days; another where members practiced running for 30 minutes, at least five days a week; and, finally, a group that took a common drug to treat premature ejaculation.

The researchers concluded that the running and drug groups showed significant improvements in premature ejaculation, with not much difference between them. According to the scientists, this suggests that regular exercise can help men who suffer from the problem.

“The potential of promoting physical activity for the management of premature ejaculation should be further investigated. In addition, larger randomized controlled trials are urgently needed to further guide clinicians in selecting the best treatment option for the problem in different groups of patients.
