It cost 350,000 to set up a studio in the CKZ in Łapy. PLN, of which 85% is co-financing from the EU project, and the remaining 15 percent. contributed by the Bialystok Poviat.
– This laboratory with modern equipment allows students to learn in modern technologies. In this case, it is regarding car mechanics who can learn how to operate not only older models, but also modern ones, including hybrid engines. A few months ago, other laboratories were opened in the Center, which shows that vocational schools in Podlaskie focus on modern equipment so that students are prepared to practice in modern technologies. It is good that the self-government of the Białystok poviat recognizes the problems of vocational schools – emphasized Dariusz Piontkowski, Deputy Minister of Education and Science.
The workshop is equipped with devices such as a wheel alignment and measuring machine, or a cross-section of a hybrid engine. There are plans to purchase an electric car – in view of the change in EU regulations on the purchase of cars that is to take place in 10 years.
– The workshop commissioned today is to show students of industry schools that they can learn using modern equipment, because we focused on high quality teaching and good pedagogical facilities. We want to encourage young people to learn vocational courses. That you don’t necessarily have to go to high school, and that mechanics is not that difficult and you can work in good conditions – said the Białystok starost, Jan Perkowski.
