In terms of design, Apple Gangnam features a uniquely designed facade with an all-new gradient frit and mirror coating treatment that changes appearance at different times of the day or seasons.
The store was also designed with materials from the region, including tables, wood/stone walls, glass facade and floor. Like all Apple facilities, the new store and all of its operations run on 100% renewable energy and are carbon neutral.
As usual, Apple will offer several special sessions of the Today at Apple to celebrate the inauguration. Among them, music fans will be able to experience the magic of Spatial Audio in a Pop-Up Studio starting April 1st, which will feature rising K-pop group NewJeans.
Also celebrating the opening of Apple Gangnam, Apple Music released a playlist that “encapsulates the neighborhood’s creatively inspired energy.” There is also a wallpaper for Mac, iPhone and iPad with a new illustration of the Apple logo, which can be downloaded here.
Apple The Summit
Speaking of new stores, Apple also inaugurated last weekend the new unit of Apple The Summit, located in Birmingham, city of the US state of Alabama. The opening was shared by the Storeteller/Filip profile.
As you can see in the image above, all retail design elements have been implemented in the new unit, from the all-glass facade to the wooden product display walls/tables.
The new store is now open according to local business hours.
