The discovery of a black hole 33 billion times the mass of the sun

Astronomers in Britain announced the discovery of a huge black hole with a mass of regarding 33 billion times the mass of the sun.

Scientists from Durham University said that the supermassive black hole is one of the largest black holes ever discovered, according to the British BA Media news agency, today, Wednesday.

The team of scientists described the findings they reached during the research, which was published in the “Monthly Notices” of the “Royal Astronomical Society”, as “extremely exciting”.

“This particular black hole, which has a mass of regarding 30 billion times the mass of our sun, is one of the largest ever discovered,” said James Nightingale, lead author of the research, from Durham University’s Department of Physics.

Black holes are a focus of enormous gravity that forms in space, and this focus can absorb everything that approaches it, including light, as its gravity exceeds its solar counterpart by dozens of times, and black holes are created according to Einstein’s theory of relativity when huge stars die and explode, and following this explosion they fall Residues at a point are gradually getting bigger by attracting new residues. It also grows by absorbing even radiation waves such as light and others.

It is worth noting that supermassive black holes are the largest objects in the universe, with masses ranging between 10 billion and 40 billion times the mass of the sun.
