The quest for the exclusive

Famous for its colorful creations, much appreciated by stars, such as Rihanna, who for example wore the “Northern Lights” model during the last Super Bowl, the house of Jacob&Co. once once more set the bar very high. A successful bet since opinions agree, the Billionaire Timeless Treasure is a real treasure whose place would even be, according to the brand, in a museum.

After a three and a half year treasure hunt around the world, Jacob&Co. nearly exhausted the market for yellow diamonds of exceptional size and quality to complete the Billionaire Timeless Treasure. This extraordinary model succeeds the Billionaire, the first of the name, launched in 2015 and which had enjoyed international success, pushing Jacob&Co. to create today a second unique piece.

At first glance, what amazes when our eyes land on the Billionaire Timeless Treasure is the opulence, its color and its brilliance. Indeed, this watch is a mosaic where each yellow diamond has a well-defined role: a precise size, a specific function.

These are not interchangeable brilliants on a bezel, but rather a real artistic composition. Here there are no less than 880 carats of the rarest rough yellow diamonds ever used, some of which reach 2.50 carats each.

Pure luxury

As Benjamin Arabov, CEO of Jacob&Co. explains: “We have traveled the world for three and a half years in search of an unprecedented number of perfect gemstones, we have collected them here, in our headquarters in Geneva, where each of them has been examined in their raw state, during cutting, before and following setting (…) We have combined our expertise in fine jewelry with our skills in fine watchmaking and used our dynamism to achieve which has never been done before.”

As with any composition, the underlying frame is essential. This is the case of the yellow gold structure which supports the precious stones of the watch. This extremely intricate latticework is custom made, link by link, pin by pin, and precisely fitted for each gemstone it is intended to hold.

The result is grandiose and we particularly appreciate the aerial aspect of the case which encircles the hands and brings a certain lightness to a rich ensemble. With this $20 million jewelry watch model, Jacob Arabo, also known as “Jacob the jeweler”, has never lived up to his name so well.
