Messi receives a figurine and a special honor … and a message from Maradona, in the presence of Pele

The Argentine national team has followed its historical moments in the world of football, since winning the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, following it was honored by the South American Confederation for the “CONMEBOL” game in Paraguay.

Lionel Messi said from CONMEBOL headquarters in the Paraguayan city of Loque, while honoring the world champions on Tuesday: “We do not really believe what it means to be world champions.

During the ceremony, Messi received a replica of the World Cup and a life-size statue of him: “I have crowned everything in football, thanks to God.”

And Liu, who was recently crowned the best player in the world by FIFA, added: “Now it remains to enjoy what I will present in the stadiums, and I do not know how long it will take. I want to do what I have always loved, and as I was best throughout my career.”

The ceremony, which was held at the CONMEBOL Convention Center, witnessed the appearance of the late greats Diego Armando Maradona and Brazilian Pele, who addressed words of appreciation to Messi through the use of hologram technology.

And the hologram of Maradona, wearing a tango shirt, accompanied by Pele, said: “Let others talk that you will be the best in all of history. Enjoy today. I love you so much, Leo.”

The Argentine national team enjoys special honors in South America since the players returned there during the current international break, especially following they returned the cup to the Latin continent following European domination over it in 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2018.
