A woman who had beaten an autorickshaw driver’s hand in the middle of the road in Kollam has been arrested by the police. The apprehended Anzia Bivi is a resident of Pangalukad, Kadaikal, and runs a tailoring shop at Pangalukad junction in Kadakkal. She was taken into custody by the Kadakkal police and produced at the Kottarakkara DySP office for a complaint regarding hurling stones at women at Pangalukad Junction. Anzia Bavi is also implicated in a case related to assaulting Vijith, an autorickshaw driver in Pangalukate. Vijith was attacked a week ago on the charge of recording the scene of Ansiabivi beating two women on his mobile phone in the middle of the road. Anzia arrived at the auto stand, questioned Vijith, and hit his left hand with a stick, causing him to break his arm. Vijith is undergoing treatment, and the police have registered a case on his complaint and filed a non-bailable case once morest Anzia.
