Royal Air Maroc plans 6.2 million seats on more than 90 destinations

“On the eve of a summer season that promises to be exceptional, Royal Air Maroc is deploying a reinforced flight program to most of its destinations. Thus, the National Company is preparing to support strong demand on its flights, in a buoyant context marked by a good recovery in business and tourist travel. Royal Air Maroc will set up an offer of 6.2 million seats in more than 90 destinations across the four continents”, indicates a press release from RAM.

This increase in supply follows the restoration of almost all routes that had been suspended during the health crisis and the opening of new lines in 2022 such as Tel Aviv, Dubai, Seville, Porto…

Today, RAM has covered nearly 95% of its 2019 network. The Company is thus deploying its new capacities to facilitate the travel of its customers in the summer period, particularly Moroccans around the world.

Thus, more than 2.3 million seats will be deployed on the European continent and some 902 flights per week will connect 11 Moroccan airports to 34 European airports.

In North America, the company will offer nearly 500,000 seats, i.e. 6% more than the offer proposed in summer 2019. Pan-African carrier serving the African diasporas, Royal Air Maroc is strengthening its continental network which will increase to 26 air routes with an offer of 901,800 seats.

RAM will also offer 200,000 seats on its Middle Eastern routes, an increase of 25% compared to the summer 2019 offer.

“Succeeding this 2023 summer season in conditions of operational efficiency and quality of service is a major challenge for all of Royal Air Maroc’s driving forces, at a time when our business sector is regaining a very positive dynamic” , underlined Hamid Addou, Chairman and CEO of Royal Air Maroc.

“And we are giving ourselves the means to meet the expectations of all our categories of customers in all of our markets, both quantitatively, through a massive increase in injected capacity, and qualitatively through an ever-improving customer experience”, added he added.

Six additional lines between northern Morocco and Europe

In addition, the routes linking Europe to the North of Morocco and to the East will also benefit from an exceptional programme. Thus, Royal Air Maroc will strengthen the ten regular air routes linking Tangier, Nador and Oujda to European cities.

During the summer period, the Compagnie Nationale will offer six new direct airline routes linking these three cities to Europe, in particular to cities with a large community of Moroccans around the world.

Indeed, the company will schedule three additional direct lines linking Tangier to Madrid, Barcelona and London. It will also set up two direct links linking Nador to Madrid and Barcelona. An additional direct air route will connect Oujda to Düsseldorf. In addition, special reinforcement will be provided in markets hosting large communities of Moroccans around the world and which experience strong demand in summer. The lines connecting Casablanca to Barcelona, Bologna, Malaga, Madrid, Brussels and Milan will thus increase to two daily flights.

Chartering of 6 planes for the summer season

To strengthen its own resources and ensure the launch of this program under the best conditions, Royal Air Maroc will charter six aircraft from internationally renowned companies.

These latest generation aircraft are selected according to the safety and comfort criteria imposed by Royal Air Maroc. Their availability follows a rigorous process that respects the regulations and standards approved by the civil aviation authorities of the countries where they operate.

All of these offers are already available for sale on the National Company’s website “www.royalairmaroc.com”, via its call centers as well as in its sales agencies and on the national network of travel agencies.
