SSD: the Samsung T7 Shield goes up to 4 TB and goes down to €315

Samsung’s T7 Shield SSD has arrived in a 4TB version which is already being promoted. The new larger capacity of this small SSD, with a reinforced case, is sold €314.99 instead of €365 to €370 when it launches this month. Samsung has no formalized his arrival only at the very end of last week.

The “Shield” model — like LaCie’s Rugged — is distinguished by a rubber coating on the aluminum shell. It is resistant to drops (tested on a metal plate from a height of 3 meters) as well as water splashes (IP65) and dust.

Its performances, on the other hand, are of the same order as those of the Classic T7s : 1,050 MB/s in reading and writing with a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port. Except that the standard T7s stop at 2 TB.

These T7s become the basis of Samsung’s offer, while the T5s are either out of stock or sold by third parties but at in no way competitive prices. The T7 in 1 TB is currently at 94 € and the 2 TB at 160 €. See our selection on I want the top.
