The decision on the petition against the appointment of the Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab is reserved

The Lahore High Court reserved its decision on the petitions once morest the appointment of Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi.

Justice Shahid Karim of Lahore High Court heard the petition once morest the appointment of Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab.

Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rasheed’s lawyer Azhar Siddique argued that the reasons on which the Election Commission finalized Mohsin Naqvi’s name were not given, Mohsin Naqvi was appointed for special purposes.

Lawyer Azhar Siddique said that the work of the Election Commission is to conduct transparent elections, the caretaker chief minister had a big role in the lack of confidence once morest the former prime minister.

The court remarked that these appointments have also been declared null and void.

Azhar Siddique Advocate said that the court decision has not yet been implemented and not a single officer has returned to his post.

The court declared that it does not matter, the decision of the court is in its place.

Additional Attorney General said that caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab was appointed as per procedure.

Later, the Lahore High Court reserved its decision following the arguments of the parties were completed.

It should be remembered that the court has sought answers from the federal government, the governor of Punjab, the election commission and the government of Punjab.

The court has summoned the Attorney General and Advocate General for judicial assistance.
